Abstract : The study is concerned about the details of the fight of Al-Khilafah (the highest political position in the Era of the Abbasid Khalifas) between AJ-Ameen and Al-Ma'amoon in the latest years of The Second Hijrah Century ( the latest years of the Ninth Gregorian Century ) .Within the nationalism move that dominated the atmospheres and the nature of that era . The study has firstly tackled the definition of the nationalism movement, its nature, the reasons of its existence and the ways it had followed to achieve its goals. Therefore, this study focuses on the Persian nationalism in particular simply because of its direct connection with the title of the study. This work is concerned about following the stages of the historical writing to clarify the way through which the nationalism narration had sneaked into the historical sources, and also to list the most prominent reporters, tellers and narrators who were well-known of their nationalism or whose works had showed their being real nationalists . Directly, the study shows the political and literary profile of this kind of movement, and their effects on the events of the fight between Al-Ameen and Al-Ma'amoon. So, from the political perspective, this study shows the involvement of some of the Persian elements in directing the events of the fight between the two brothers, and its continuous action to maximize the flame of the war of the fight and to diminish the attempts of settlement between them. This role had prominently appeared in the camp of Al-Ma'amoon that was led by Al-Fadl bin Sahl . But from the literary perspective, this study clarified the domination of the nationalism movement writers on the rephrasing of the historical narration that had a profile of the details of the fight between the two brothers together with the effect of the distortion of the historical facts. So, the researcher has resorted to re-deep-root the narratives that have showed the details of the fight. That was through following those narratives in their genuine sites starting from the real reasons that pushed Ar-Rasheed to pledge the allegiance to Al-Ameen and then to Al-Ma'amoon after him. And also to show the reality of what was listed in some of the narrations concerning the affected decisions of the Ar-Rasheed by the characters around him and to pinpoint the rightness of what had been said in the treaties and assignments that were written between the two brothers, in addition to the reality of the recommendations suggested by Ar-Rasheed before his death together with the nature of the two-sided writings between them during the peaceful period of the fight itself, the results of those mutual writings, the witnessing of the real conditions that were the reasons behind the blowing of the fight which have led to armed clash stage that led to surrounding Al-Ameen in Baghdad which resulted in his surrender and his death at the end of the event. The study has also discussed the notion that has been marketed by the orientalists and adopted by a big number of modern researchers who say that the fight between Al-Ameen and Al-Ma'moon was actually between the Arabs and Persians.
