Transfer to King Abdulaziz University from other
universities
* It is permissible to accept the transfer of a student to the
university from another recognized university based on the
recommendation of the department and college councils and the
approval of the Council of the Deanship of Graduate Studies, taking
into account the following:
1- The fulfillment of admission requirements by the transfer student
and any other department .
2- The student must be in good standing in the university he is
transferring from.
3- The number of credits the student earned previously may be
counted according to the following criteria:
a-. The time elapsed since the completion of the
transferred courses must not be more than six semesters.
b- The course content must match the requirements of the
target program.
c- The percentage of equivalent courses must not exceed
thirty percent of the overall courses in the target program
d- The grade in the equivalent courses must not be less
than “very good”.
C- Equivalent courses are not included in the GPA.
H- The equivalency is based on the recommendation of the
department council that offers the course as well as the approval of
the college council and theDeanship of Graduate Studies.
4- The applicant must have successfully passed one semester with at
least a GPA of not less than (3.75 out of 5)and must have
completed at least (6) program credits
* How to apply:
An electronic application should be submitted (by email) at least
one month before the start of any semester, and the application must
have the following:

the latest educational qualification
2-
Transcripts
3-
Two (2) recommendations.
4-
A proof of fulfilling the English language requirement (if any).
5-
A proof of the general aptitude test for university students (if
any).
6-
A proof of regular attendance at the current university.
7-
A proof of successful completion of a semester.
8-
Note: Transfer is available only for general programs; however, it
is not allowed for special or executive programs at the university.

Second: Transfer from King Abdulaziz University to other
universities
*According to the unified university regulation for
graduate studies, a student is eligible to transfer from one
university to another. In addition to the conditions mentioned in
Article (30), each university has special transfer conditions. In
the event of transferring from King Abdulaziz University to another
university, KAU is not part of the transfer process, and its role
is limited to providing official documents that other universities
may require.
