Transferring from one to another within the University:.
The student may be transferred from one major to another, within the university on the recommendation of the council of both transferee department and the college, in addition to approval of the Deanship of Graduate Studies' Council, taking into account the following :
1-Meeting admission requirements by the transfer student and any other applicable conditions by the department.
2- The courses that have already been taken at the university may be credited if the department considers them identical to those of the to which they want to be transferred, and are counted in the cumulative average.
- The student's registration must not have been canceled due to any of the reasons listed under article (26) of this regulation.
-The period spent by the student in his original program is calculated within the maximum period specified for obtaining the degree.
-The transfer from one program to another is one-time, within the specified period for obtaining the degree.

Transfer process:
Transfer applications should be submitted prior to the beginning of the semester according to the academic calendar of the University and approved by the Deanship of Graduate Studies. The transfer procedure is as follows::
A- The transfer request could be from one major to another or from one program to another, within the department. It will be submitted to the concerned main department.
B- The transfer application from one department to another is submitted to the dean of the college..
C. The application of transfer from one college to another is submitted to the Deanship of Graduate Studies.
In addition to the conditions for transfer from one discipline to another, within the university, stipulated in article (31), the following conditions are added.
A. The applicant must have successfully completed a semester with a grade point average of at least (3.75 out of 5).
(b) The applicant must have obtained at least (6) credits (from his degree courses ).
Employer's approval for the transfer is required if the student/applicant is an employee.




Switching between All-course and Research Tracks
The student has the right to transfer from the master's course track to the research track and vice versa but only once, and after having obtained (50%) of the credits for each program according to the following conditions:
A. The approval of the department chair, the dean of the college, and the Dean of Graduate Studies.
B. The request to switch between tracks is not allowed after six semesters have been completed into the program.
C.The transfer request must be submitted before the start of the semester, and in accordance with the approved university calendar.
The transfer request is submitted to the head of the department.
