Abstract : Abstract Laboratory experiments were conducted under controlled temperature ( 27±1˚C ) and R.H (65±5%) to test efficiency and persistence effect of plant extracts of black pepper ( Piper nigrum ) and hungarium chamomile ( Matricaria chamomile ) on larval stage of Phthorimaea operculella (Zeller) dissolved in four solvents with high polarity ( Petroleum ether, Chloroform, acetone and water ). The present work is preformed to study the effect of one and multiple application of different concentration ( 5, 10 and 15% )of the tested plant extracts on 4th and 5th larval instar of potato tuber moth Ph. Operculella after different periods of times. Results revealed that the percent mortality increased significantly with increasing the concentration of the ( 15> 10> 5% ). Also, the reduction of weight increased significantly when the extracts of the two plants applied after 24 h, antifeeding or repellent effects was also observed and the decreasing in weight continue through the following 120 at some concentration ( 10 and 15% ) of some extracts. Again multiple application shows a marked decline in the pervious aspects at all tested doses for different solvents of the two plants.
