Abstract : This research explores creed rules deduced from Ibn Taymiyaʼs books on prophethoods. Due to the numerous numbers of the rules, the research is confined to the most important ones. It includes a presentation of the most important rules concerning prophethoods according to Ibn Taymiya, determination of these rules as Ibn Taymiya stated، and explanation of his aim of a rule with providing evidence on it, in addition to presenting the opponents’ statements of the rules and his refutation of them because his aim was to refute their views and to state the statements of Ahl Al-Sunnah (People of Sunnah). His objective of the rule is to establish the creed of the predecessors. The research includes an introduction, preface, four chapters and conclusion. In the Preface, there are two topics. In the First topic, I introduced the rules of the creed, their sources and methods of establishing rules according to the People of Sunnah and Community. In the Second topic, I presented a brief biography of Ibn Taymiya. In chapter one, I stated the most important creed rules related to proving prophethood, its reality and its evidence. In chapter two، I introduced the rules pertaining to the belief in the prophets, on the whole and in detail. In chapter three, I stated the most important creed rules pertaining to the belief in the laws and in chapter four I stated the most important rules related to the belief in the Unseen. In the conclusion, I presented the results I have reached, the most significant of which are: Using the term ʻmiraclesʼ is contrary to what the Islamic Law (Shariʼah) has stated; it is more appropriate to use the terms of the Noble Quran. The correct term is sign or proof. Signs of prophethood are not confined to miracles; rather, there are many evidence and proofs about the prophethood of the Prophets. The prophetsʼ signs are beyond the laws of nature, and they are exclusively theirs; no body shares with them, whether a sorcerer, conjuror، or soothsayer. Miracles do not indicate the personʼs righteousness; rather, an ally of Allah is distinguished from others by his following of the Prophet and his righteousness. Prophethood is not attained by the personʼs capability or attainment of it; instead, it is a selection and choice by Allah who has favored His servant with sending Messengers. It is an obligation by Allah because He promised to do so, not because His servants obliged Him to it. What the Prophets told about the Unseen is real. It is the greatest of any reality we see in this world. In addition, the angels are talking living creatures; knowledge attained in the Prophetsʼ hearts is achieved through the angels and not through logical reasoning.
