Abstract : In this thesis, we study rings with involutions endowed with certain kinds of mappings. We investigate the commutativity of prime rings with involutions of the second kind that admit generalized derivations satisfying certain algebraic conditions on ideals and *-ideals. Moreover, we study some classes of generalized derivations satisfying specific algebraic identities and their connection with the structure of prime rings with involution of the second kind. Finally, some special subsets of rings connected with certain mappings are defined using algebraic identities, and we prove they coincide with the centers of these rings. These subsets are called center-like subsets.
