Abstract : The Arab east countries were formed since the First World War, which cast a shadow and its effects on the region. This formation took a period of nearly six decades. The purpose of this research is to track the external and internal factors and their inter-relationships that contributed to the formation of these countries; Also, to identify the historical context that played an important role related to ways , means , political and military methods of colonial countries The attitudes of local leaders and community reactions will be discussed . The chapters of this Thesis included a historical overview of the region until the beginning of the twentieth century AD, with a focus on the internal and international conditions related to the region before the First World War. The first chapter touched on the participation of the Ottoman Empire in the First World War, and the situation of the Arab Orient during these Wars and their influence on events and its effects on the region. In the second chapter, the role of external factors represented in the European colonization of the Arab Orient was clarified by tracing the ambitions of these colonial countries. Their policies, methods and means, role of conventions, treaties and conferences held during that period were used strongly to control the region. In the third chapter, the role of local factors that contributed to the formation of the Arab Orient was highlighted and represented by social composition, ethnic diversity, urban, nomadic or rural nature of local communities, the influence of religious , national identity in these communities, and the influence of local leaders and their aspirations in the region. The fourth chapter explained the relations between external and internal factors and their impact on the formation of the region by highlighting the border problems between the emerging countries in the region. Resistance to some of the liberation movements that emerged in the region as a result of colonialism was highlighted. The projects of Arab unity that began in that period and ended in the formation of The Arab League by the founding group of countries which are: Egypt, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Yemen in the year 1945was played an important role. Later on, the Arab countries continued joining of the Arab League after their declaration of independence from colonialism, thus confirming the new identities of the Arab countries that joined it. The most important results can be summarized as follows: The colonial countries used a set of colonial methods and means to establish their presence in the region, where they fueled by religious and sectarian conflict, and the establishment of political conflicting parties to create internal loyalties, and perhaps their most important means, these conferences, treaties and agreements which they held , whether between the colonial powers themselves or with local leaders eventually led to the shaping of the boundaries between these states which based on discrimination of religious, sectarian or national dimensions. Also, the role which was played by internal factors in shaping the political map of the region since the First World War, was influential and cannot be ignored. After the end of the Second World War, the projects of Arab unity led to the establishment of the Arab League, which affirmed the independent identity of the emerging countries, these countries became more able to confirm their new identity at the regional and international level, and grab its independence from European colonizers.
