It also revealed that knowledge management played an effective role in increasing the quality of higher education's output and identifying market needs. Another finding was the high interest of senior management in applying knowledge management's practices at King Abdulaziz University. In addition, the findings showed that one of the most important obstacles facing the application of knowledge management was the lengthy administrative procedures for developing the university's education outputs, the diversity of labor market needs, and the poor culture of sharing knowledge between private sector institutions and the university. The study recommends increasing the efforts toward practicing knowledge management to develop the output of higher education. It also recommends engaging the private sector to explore the knowledge necessary to develop educational outcomes. Finally, the study proposed a model to activate the role of knowledge management in improving the quality of higher education's output in line with Vision 2030. The proposed model consisted of three steps which were inputs, processes, and outputs. |
