Abstract : This study has dealt with the investigation and analysis of Hepatitis A; one of the most important diseases that infect humans. The study comes as a contribution to the field of medical geography. The study has been conducted in Jeddah for the purpose of identifying those geographic conditions and characteristics related to Hepatitis cases in the study area for the last few years. To provide direction for this study, a number of questions has been formulated. These questions focused on such issues the number of infected cases, their spatial distribution and variations within the city, and the nature of variation of infection between Saudi citizens and other residents. In order to achieve the aims of the study, the researcher used quantitative as well as descriptive methods. The data used for analysis included information related to all infected cases which have been formally reported during the study period (661 cases). Results have shown that annual infection rates of the disease ranged between 89 and 127 cases, Also, there are two time peaks of infection during March and September. In addition, the study showed that the demographic distribution of Hepatitis A in Jeddah does not follow a specific rule or certain pattern, and the appearance of the disease in the city districts seems to be not related to the population, location, economic standards. However, results of the study indicated that there has been an increase in the infection rates among Saudis than non-Saudis throughout studied age groups. According to the above mentioned results, the researcher presented a number of suggested recommendations aiming to have an effective role in avoiding many of shortcomings relating to the causes of infectious diseases in general and Hepatitis A in particular. The most important of such recommendations are related to reporting data on infections as well as promoting vigorous health awareness through the media to all social groups in the city
