Abstract : The current study aims at exploring the relationship between preventive education and psychological empowerment in a sample of high school students in Makkah city. It also investigates the difference between male and female students in both preventive education and psychological empowerment. The study is conducted with a total of 300 high school students studying at some public schools in Makkah city (150 males and 150 females), and they completed the Preventive Education Scale and Psychological Empowerment Scale which were both developed by the researcher. The results showed that there was a significant correlative relationship between the preventive education and psychological empowerment among the sample. It also indicated that there was no difference between the males and females in both the preventive education and its sub-dimensions. Also، there was no difference between the males and females in the psychological empowerment and its sub-dimension. Keywords: Preventive Education- Psychological Empowerment- High School Students.
