The presented study introduces a conceptual implication of effective activities that develop and motivate volunteering work in early childhood children, in light of the self-learning methodology for kindergartens in Saudi Arabia. The researcher of this presented study has implemented the analytical descriptive curriculum approach. In addition, by developing an effective tool to analyze the content (prepared by the researcher), the study has led to various outcomes, mainly: repeating the constituent values of volunteering work and its behavior, such as collaboration, respectfulness, responsibility, altruism, and kindness, where about 1,989 occurrences have been recorded for the self-units curriculum of kindergarten. It was noticed that the most frequent value observed was the respectfulness in all detailed educational units that include: hands, sand, food, water, housing, and homeland, which was repeated about 882 times, corresponding to 44.6%. On the other hand, the value of altruism was the lowest in all detailed educational units; It was repeated only 16 times, corresponding to 0.8%. In the light of the studied outcome, the researcher presented the proposed approach in addition to multiple recommendations, which are mainly: Taking into consideration the progressive and cumulative developments of the values that define volunteerism in kindergarten curricula from fundamental to higher values—in addition, enriching and enhancing the new kindergarten curriculum with summer and non-summer classroom activities that are primarily concerned with the development of volunteerism behavior in support of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030. |
