This study aims to reveal the approach of the author in dealing with the Qur’anic readings in narration and knowledge, and the extent of his commitment to it theoretically and in practically, as well as to stand on his grammatical doctrine by directing the authentic Qur’anic readings and the Rare one.
The study depended on the analytical descriptive approach, with the use of the extrapolation tool in tracking and describing the Qur’anic readings in the book (Al-Maqasid Ash-Shafiya), and analyzing the texts contained in their context, to derive the parameters of the author's approach through it.
The study reached results, the most important of which are:
- Ash-Shatibi was considered as one of the investigators in his narration of the Qur’anic reading, editing them, judging them as correct or Rare, and attributing them accuracy.
- That most of his directives for Authenticand Rare Qur’anic reading agree with the opinions of the Basrans, and he has directives in which he agrees with the Kufans.
- It became clear through the research there were some Defects in the The explainer's approach in dealing with the Qur’anic reading in presentation and direction, which were referred to in their place.
Perhaps the most important recommendations of the study are:
- Collecting one of the resources for guiding Qur’anic reading in grammar books and studying it in detail, such as guiding by parallels, context, or Uthmanic drawing.
Studying the issue of weighting between Qur’anic readingin grammar books in detail.
