This research is an investigation of "Hashiyat on Sharh Mukhtasar Al-Muntaha" by Imam Alalama Shams Al-Din Muhammad Bin Muhammad Bin Muhammad Al-Ayni, famous as Ibn Bilal Al-Hanafi, who died in the year: (957 AH / 1550 AD) - from the beginning of the book to its end (the logical premises). The research included an introduction, two parts for the study and investigation, a conclusion, and indexes.
The first section consisted of four chapters. The first chapter introduced Ibn al-Hajib and his book Mukhtasar al-Muntaha. Chapter two familiarized Adad Al-Din Al-Aji and his book, Sharh Mukhtasar Al-Muntaha. The third chapter introduced Saad al-Taftazani, and his Hashiya on Mukhtasar al-Muntaha explanation. Chapter four introduced Ibn Bilal and his Hashiya on Mukhtasar al-Muntahha explanation.
The second section is the investigation. It included the investigation of the book from its beginning to its end, and it consisted of (83) hashiyas or a topic on the logical premises.
Ibn Bilal in his Hashiya relied on the logical premises from Ibn al-Hajib’s Mukhtasar, and the explanation of al-Adad on it, as well as on the explanation of the two Hashyia of al-Taftazani and the Hashiya of al-Jurjani. Ibn Bilal relied on these sources as references, commenting, redress, revenue and discussions, and he had a deep understanding that did not hesitate to express and give preference to his opinion even if he disagreed with others.
Regarding the used method in the investigation, the current research relied on the comparison between the two versions of the manuscript according to the approach of the chosen text, and the attempt to produce the text intact by adopting the more correct one while proving the differences between the two versions in the Hashiya.
I investigated the text, documented the narrations and attributions, extracted the hadiths, familiarized the scholars, explained the terminology and the strange, commented on everything that needed a comment, and drew up a conclusion and indexes.
