Praise be to Allah, and prayers and peace be upon the messenger of Allah.
The topic on the names and attributes is one of the most important topics in Islamic faith. It is impossible to know Allah without the meanings of the names and attributes, because by knowing Him, the servant reaches the true knowledge of Allah, and that is what made me choose the name of Allah, "At-Tawwab", i.e. Accepting of repentance, for study and research.
Contents of the Research: Three chapters and a conclusion.
First Chapter: Includes the name of Allah, "At-Tawwab", its meaning, the evidence for it, the names associated with it, the names include the name of Allah, "At-Tawwab", the position of the opposing sects and the response to them, the most important provisions of the names of Allah according to the Sunnis, and the fruits of faith in the names of Allah. It has seven topics.
First Topic: Includes the linguistic and religious meaning of the name of Allah, "At-Tawwab".
Second Topic: Evidence from the Holy Book and the Sunni Muslims for the name of Allah, "At-Tawwab", and its relevance to each verse.
Third Topic: The association of the name of Allah, "At-Tawwab", with the name of Allah, the Merciful.
Fourth Topic: The names contain the name of Allah, "At-Tawwab".
Fifth Topic: The position of the opposing sects on the name of Allah, "At-Tawwab", and the response to them.
Sixth Topic: The most important provisions for the names of Allah according to the Sunni Muslims.
Seventh Topic: The fruits of faith in the names of Allah.
Second Chapter: Includes the repentance, its types, and its conditions. It has seven topics.
First Topic: Includes the reality of repentance and its meaning.
Second Topic: Includes those who are fulfilled by repentance.
Third Topic: Includes the virtues of repentance.
Fourth Topic: Includes the terms of repentance.
Fifth Topic: Includes the means of repentance.
Sixth Topic: Includes reasons distracting from repentance.
Seventh Topic: Includes examples of the repentance of the prophets, companions and predecessors.
Third Chapter: Includes the impacts of the name of Allah, "At-Tawwab", on the individual and society. It has two topics.
First Topic: Includes the impacts of the name of Allah, "At-Tawwab", on the individual.
Second Topic: Includes the impacts of the name of Allah, "At-Tawwab", on society.
Objectives of the Research:
• Clarifying that the Accepting of repentance is one of the names of Allah.
• Showing the impacts of the name of Allah, "At-Tawwab", on the individual and society.
• Clarifying the impact of belief in the name of Allah, "At-Tawwab", and the belief it belongs to Allah alone.
Research Approach: The researcher adopted the inductive-deductive approach, taking into account the scientific approach used in writing theses and scientific researches.
Findings of The Research:
• The name of Allah, "At-Tawwab" (the Accepting of repentance) is fixed as a name and an attribute of Allah, through the language of the Arabs, the evidences from the Quran and the Sunnah.
• The repentance is one of the most necessary requirements for the servants of Allah, which Allah enjoined upon them.
Recommendations of the Research:
• Recommending more research interest in the Names of Allah.
• Implementing appropriate programs that spread the culture of knowledge of the Names of Allah among the general public, according to what suits each category.
