This study dealt with the aesthetics of receiving in Farouk Juaidah's poetry, with the aim of knowing the way readers receive its poetic contents, the extent of the seriousness and importance of those studies, their contribution to receiving his poetry, and monitoring the most important aesthetic aspects that contribute to achieving the recipient's interaction with the text by studying its linguistic, figurative and rhythmic aspects. The study has taken from the theory of reception an approach by applying some of its procedural mechanisms and concepts, it also benefited from the stylistic approach in studying some of the artistic styles that affect the reader, and the introspection of their beauty.
The study was divided into an introduction, a preface and four chapters, followed by a conclusion, where the preface presented the significance of the term and the concept of reception theory. And pioneers of theory, and their views on receiving. As for the chapters, they came as follows: The first chapter dealt with (receiving poetic content), and divided into three sections: receiving political content, receiving social content, and receiving psychological content. The second chapter dealt with (the aesthetics of poetic language), and it contained three topics: displacement, intertextuality, and paradox. The third chapter deals with (the aesthetics of poetic image), and it included three sections: the sensory image, the kinetic image, and the overall image. The fourth chapter dealt with (the aesthetics of poetic rhythm) , and included two topics: the external rhythm and the internal rhythm.
The study reached a number of results, the most important of which are: The ways researchers receive poetic contents varied between analysis based on interpretation, or interpretation as required by the nature of the selected poetic texts. Paradox is also one of the strategic mechanisms that Juaidah invested in forming his poetic language, and it performs an important function represented in breaking the horizon of the recipient’s expectation, with its contradictions, transformations and surprising relationships in the text, which gives him the pleasure of reading.
