The current study aimed to identify the role of knowledge management in reducing administrative corruption in the Ministry of Commerce in Jeddah Governorate by knowing the level of application of knowledge management in its four dimensions represented in: (Knowledge Generation, Knowledge Storage, Knowledge Distribution, Knowledge Application), determining the level of application of mechanisms to reduce administrative corruption in the Ministry, and identifying statistically significant differences between the responses of community members regarding the application of the two variables according to the personal and functional variables: (age, educational qualification, number of years of experience). The analytical descriptive approach was relied upon. The questionnaire was also used as a data collection tool. The study was applied to a sample of (200) administrative employees in the Ministry of Commerce in Jeddah Governorate. The number of responses was (178). In addition, (6) questionnaires were excluded because they were not valid for the statistical analysis. Thus, (172) questionnaires were analyzed, i.e. (84.7%) of the size of the community. The data have been statistically processed using the Social Science Statistical Packages Programme. The data was treated statistically using the Program of Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). The study reached several findings, the most important of which are: There is a role for knowledge management in reducing administrative corruption according to the point of view of the administrative staff in the Ministry of Commerce in Jeddah Governorate at the level of statistical significance of (0,000). Also, the level of knowledge management application in the Ministry of Commerce in Jeddah Governorate is high, with an arithmetic average of (4.14 out of 5.00), and with a relative weight of (82.8%). The same applies to the level of application of mechanisms to reduce administrative corruption in the Ministry of Commerce in Jeddah Governorate, which was high with an arithmetic average of (4.08 out of 5.00), and a relative weight of (81.6%). The study presented a set of recommendations, including the importance of supporting scientific research, Continuous application of job turnover for employees in a fair manner in order to reduce administrative corruption, in addition to intensifying employee training on the basic skills required in their departments to ensure business continuity with high efficiency. that provides new ideas for developing and archiving the Ministry's knowledge databases. |
