Abstract
This study dealt with the manuscript of the book (Al-Sharh Al-Saghir) by Imam Abdul Karim bin Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Rafi'i Al-Qazwini Al-Shafi'i which is a commentary on the book (Al-Wajeez) by Imam Abu Hamid Al-Ghazali. This research studies and investigates (beginning from the book of fasting to the end of the book of Hajj).
It consists of an introduction that states the importance of the topic, the reasons for choosing it, a review of previous studies, the method of investigation, and the research plan.
Then the research was organized in two sections; the first section included the body of the study in two chapters. In the first chapter I introduced the author of Alwajeez in five sub-sections: his name, lineage, birth, scientific life, his sheikhs and students, his writings, and his death. Then, I introduced the book (Al-Wajeez), mentioning the most prominent scientific works conducted on it.
The second chapter introduced the author of (Al-Sharh Al-Saghir) in six sub-sections: the author’s name, lineage, birth, family, scientific life, his sheikhs, his students, writings, and death. Then, I introduced (Al-Sharh Al-Saghir), and its attribution to its author, his approach, the scientific value of the book, the references of the book, its terminology, and the difference between Al-Sharh Al-Kabeer and Al-Saghir.
The second section dealt with the investigation, and included a preface reviewing the written copies, a statement of the method of the investigation, and the text of the investigation.
In working on this manuscript, I followed the academic scientific approach followed in verifying these texts, correcting the book by comparing copies and proving the correct choice among them relying on one of these copies. I have also made the required annotations.
I then concluded the research with nine indexes, revealing the essence of the research.
