Abstract : The current study aimed to identify the arch as an architectural element in Hijazi architecture from the beginning of Islam until the end of the Ottoman era, as well as to identify the use of architecture (religious - military - civil), as well as monitoring the effects and studying arches in the Hijazobian region. The Ottoman era and its influence in various parts of the Islamic world also traced the stages of development of the uses of arches in buildings (religious - civil - military) in the region and the extent to which Islamic architecture was affected by it during the study period.
