Abstract : Background: Post-COVID-19 syndrome is defined as the resistance of symptoms after confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection. When symptoms persist beyond 3 to 12 weeks or more, the resulting pathological conditions have been defined as “Post- COVID-19”. There have been several reports of patients who reported no return to their previous state of health after having COVID-19. the aim of the study is to estimate the rate of post-COVID-19 syndrome among patients after discharge from King Abdullah Medical Complex in Jeddah, SA. Method: Retrospective cohort study at King Abdullah Medical Complex in Jeddah, SÁ. The target population is a patient diagnosed with COVID-19 who was admitted to King Abdullah Medical Complex. 337 participants will be enrolled in this study and patients aged >18 years with confirmed COVID-19 by using PCR test will be included and patients who are unwilling to participate due to disorders or readmission to hospital, Patients who died before follow-up will be excluded from the study. Data analysis: A Structured Questionnaire will be used to collect the data information from participants. The data will be collected through a review file of COVID-19 patients who admit to KAMC during the period March 2020 to November 2021.Telephone calls to the selected patient will be done. Patients will be invited to attend the Complex for follow up and completing the interviewing questionnaire. All descriptive and inferential statistics will be analyzed by STATA Limitation: Pre-COVID-19 assessment was based on patient recall of their functional status, and these could be biased.
