The focus of this research is on studying the topics of the sciences of the Quran in the Book ‘Al-Taysir fi Al-Tafseer’ by Abu Hafs Al-Nasafi (died 537H.). I followed the inductive method in extracting the issues, and then, studied them by adopting the comparative - analytical method.
The research consists of: An introduction, preface, three chapters, and conclusion, followed by scientific indexes.
As for the Preface, it introduces the Sciences of the Quran, and illustrates the importance of this science.
As regards Chapter One, it includes two chapters:
The 1st: It introduces Abu Hafs Al-Nasafi.
The 2nd: It introduces the Book ‘Al-Taisir fi Al-Tafsir’
As for Chapter Two, it includes six chapters and several topics. They are: Names and descriptions of the Quran, the merits of Quran and its features, Quran's miracles, Quran's Surahs (Chapters) and verses, the revelation of the Quran, Quran's modes of recitation, interpretation's fundamentals, pausing and beginning (in recitation), problematic issues in the Quran, aspects and analogues, events (of Surahs), ambiguities, and Quran's parables and divisions.
Chapter Three, it comprises two Chapters:The 1st: On language-related topics
The 2nd: Some issues related to Fiqh Fundamentals
This research is concluded with results, among which are:
• In the introduction of his exegesis of each Surah, Al-Nasafi was interested in some topics, which are: the merit of the Surah, The Makkan and the Medinite surahs, counting of Ayahs (verses), and the events (of the Surah).
• in this research is as follows: To study, independently, some topics of the sciences of the Quran according to Al-Nasafi, such as: Interpreting the Quran with the Quran and the Science of (Surahs') Events.
