The idea of this research is founded on gathering the comments made by the Hanbali jurist Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Ali Al-Buhuti, famously known as Al-Khalwati, on the works of preceding Hanbali scholars in the chapters of funerals, Zakah, fasting and I'itikaf. This is then followed by a study of these comments through an explanation of the issue or quotation of an unclear phrase, followed by the mentioning of Al-Khalwati's comments on the issue or phrase, with an attempt to reach the evidences of both sides, then the researchers strengthening of one of the two opinions and an explanation of the effect of this difference of opinion.
This research seeks to serve the library of Hanbali works and to highlight the efforts of its later scholars correcting and revising the works of the Madhab through their precise understandings and excellent explanations which benefit the reader and develop their juristic skills.
The research comprises of an introduction, preface, four sections and then a conclusion.
The introduction discusses the importance of the research, it's goals, the reasons why it was chosen and an overview of its topic of discussion and structure.
The preface discusses the biography of Al-Khalwati, and an introduction to his comments and methodology.
The first section analysizes the comments in the chapter of funerals.
The second section analysizes the comments in the chapter of Zakah.
The third section analysizes the comments in the chapter of fasting.
The fourth section analysizes the comments in the chapter of I'itikaf.
Finally, the conclusion seeks to summarize the most important results reached in the research. |
