Abstract : The thesis deals with private endowments from the perspective of Islamic jurisprudence. The thesis includes an introduction and seven chapters. The introduction defines the term “family endowment” and indicates its relationship to other endowments. The first chapter presents the history of the family endowment at the time of the Companions and the Followers, with a presentation of the endowments of Makkah, Madinah, and Najd. The second chapter dealt with proving the family endowment by acknowledgment, popularity, and testimony, as well as explaining the provisions for suspension and cancellation of the endowment. The third chapter presented a jurisprudential study of the condition of the endower, including definition, classification, provisions for interpretation and modification. The fourth chapter discusses the provisions of the trusteeship of family endowment, by defining and describing it. This chapter is concerned with appointing, clarifying actions, determining wages, holding accountable, dismissing, and indicating provisions of the trustee. The fifth chapter defines the concept of replacing the endowment with from the perspective of Islamic jurists and the ruling regarding replacing the endowment with a similar or different one outside Mecca and Medina. The sixth chapter deals with various topics, including the concept and classification of the investment of family endowment, and the provisions related to this investment, such as participation, leasing, conciliation, and termination of investment contracts. The seventh chapter deals with a jurisprudential study of the provisions of zakat, tax, fees, and penalties for private endowments. At The conclusion contained the most important findings and recommendations of the researcher key words: endowment -family endowment- Donations- Endowment Exemption- standing condition
